About the RCC Pavement Council
Founded in 2014, the RCC Pavement Council is a leading trade association dedicated to advancing the construction and development of Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) Pavements. The Council represents over 25 industry members, including RCC contractors, equipment and materials suppliers, and engineers.
RCC pavements were first introduced in the 1970s to meet the needs of the Canadian logging industry, which required strong, cost-effective pavements capable of withstanding massive loads and specialised equipment. Today, RCC is recognised as a threshold industry standard, and the Council plays a vital role in supporting ongoing research and the development of high standards in RCC paving protocols.
The RCC Pavement Council is committed to improving the quality, sustainability, and application of RCC pavements through active promotion and research efforts. The Council’s collaborative initiatives with leading industry organisations such as the American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA), the Portland Cement Association (PCA), and the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) further support the advancement of RCC technologies across North America and beyond.
